Privacy policy
Last updated 29 September 2026
This policy explains what information Life OS collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Life OS website, web app and mobile apps.
Who we are
Life OS is built and operated by Zaryab Khan ("we", "us"). You can contact us at the email address shown in the footer of this site.
Information you give us
Account details: your name, email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash, never in readable form).
Workspace settings: your country, currency, time zone, the modules you use and how your dashboard is arranged.
Your records: anything you enter into a module — for example transactions, budgets, bills, debts and savings goals in Finance.
Signing in with Google or Facebook
If you choose "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Facebook", that service tells us only your name and verified email address, so we can create or find your account. We never see your Google or Facebook password, and we don't post anything or read your contacts, photos or messages.
You can remove Life OS from your Google or Facebook account settings at any time. To delete your Life OS data too, see the Data deletion page.
Information collected automatically
Basic technical data needed to run and protect the service: your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of each request, kept in server logs for a limited time.
A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, and a security token that protects forms. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use it
To provide Life OS: store your workspace, work out your figures, show your pages and keep your devices in step.
To keep it secure: detect abuse, prevent unauthorised access and fix problems.
To contact you about your account, security and important changes. We don't send marketing without your permission.
What we never do
We don't sell your personal data or your records.
We don't show ads or share your data with advertisers.
We don't read your records except when you ask for help and give permission, or when the law requires it.
Where it's stored and for how long
Your data is stored on our hosting provider's servers. Backups are encrypted.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your workspace data is removed from the live system and from backups as they expire.
Your rights
You can view and edit your details in Settings at any time, export your records (Excel, CSV or JSON), and ask us to delete your account.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights, such as to object to processing or to complain to a data protection authority.
Children
Life OS isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and tell signed-in users about significant changes.
